Our Mission

The School's Mission and Beliefs

Edugates started from a humble beginning. For the last four years, it operated as a school called Al-Maharat International School. It all started as a school in 2001 by Engr. Numan Al-Muhammadi. Engr. Numan, with his vision of a quality school, saw the need of continuing the school although it was then small. As the years went by, Al-Maharat grew into a school and has continued to cater to the needs of the community of the Arab expatriates mostly Lebanese. Parents continued to bring their children to school and it grew to its present population. Al-Maharat proudly proclaimed its first batch of 12 graduates in the secondary school in June 2005.

In September 2005, Edugates, authorized by the Ministry of Education, under Lic. No. 229, started operation as a new school. EduGates is an International School at the heart of Jeddah committed to a culture of excellence in education imbued with a strong Islamic culture offering the American model of Education, open to various nationals, preparing all students to achieve their full potentials in order to advance to higher education and be globally competitive. It offers Complete Pre-Elementary Education, Elementary, Middle School and Secondary School (Grades 1 – 12)

“Edugates...doorway to knowledge and life ...opening the gates of wisdom.” With this motto, Edugates strives for globally competitive quality education.

As a mandate from the MOE, Edugates operates the Boys Section and Girls Section.
